Album „No Sleep ,til Hammersmith” završilo pro Motorhead veleúspěšný rok 1981. Singl „Ace Of Spades” vyšplhal na čtvrtou příčku britské hitparády, alba „Overkill” a „Bomber” se těšila přízni publika i novinářů, a kapela byla na turné po Velké Británii, kdy během pouhých 34 dnů odehrála 32 koncertů, z čehož pramení název alba, který mu kapela dala podle nápisu na jednom z tour-busů. Toto album je jediným, kterým Motorhead dobyli samý vrchol britské hitparády. Album nyní vychází ve speciální rozšířené reedici.
Motörhead kdysi definovali základní prvky speed metalu a thrash metalu a dodnes nepochybně stále patří k nejpopulárnějším hardrockovým a heavymetalovým kapelám a rovněž bývají označováni jako „Nejhlasitější kapela na světě”.
