The set Journey to self contains 32 images size 12 × 17 cm. On one side of the card is an illustration with a short text, which is on the other side led into a few sentences. Cards with pictures are framed in the beautiful natural alder frame, which also serves as a box with a lid. So you can change the pictures in the frame whenever you want. The frame can stand anywhere or hang on the wall behind the top edge.

The topics of these images are based on a wisdom thousand times written, said, filmed or put into songs, yet neglected. That neglect may have come perhaps because we didn’t learn it in childhood or we forgot how to perceive it.

The character of each person is shaped primarily from the outside based on the general rules, the statements, expectations, social patterns we grow up with…

However, we need to grow also on the inside.

I drew the the illustrations for my sons and other children. With images children can better perceive and understand the meaning of the words. Also to the rest of us they offer a wealth of inspiration for each day, which we can then pass on to others.

JOURNEY TO SELF may be a springboard for an inner dialogue or reflection of life principles that help us understand the basic human values, help us understand our moods, know our talents, help us trust and learn self-reflection…

The wisdom and strength resides inside of ourselves. Yet it is a whole life’s journey to embody those in our daily lives.

Select a card and then you can ponder in silence the meaning of it for you or discuss it with others. Think of your own experiences that come to your mind on that topic. You never know what will come to you or what you may learn from others.
